Dr. Arthur Robin specializes in the assessment and treatment of children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, adolescent eating disorders and parent-teen conflict.

Dr. Robin has 30 years of extensive clinical and research experience conducting evaluations, treatment and research with children, adolescents and adults with ADHD, as well as adolescents with eating disorders and family conflict. In addition to many articles, chapters and grants, he has authored three books: 1)ADHD in Adolescence: Diagnosis and Treatment (Guildford Press, 1998); 2) Negotiating Parent-Adolescent Conflict: A Behavioral Family Systems Approach (Guilford Press, 1989); 3) Defiant Teens (Guilford Press, 1999, with R. Barkley and A. Edwards).

Dr. Robin received his Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology from the State University of New York at Stony Brook in 1975. After teaching at the University of Maryland until 1979, he came to Wayne State University and Children’s Hospital of Michigan where he has been ever since. He is a Professor of Psychiatry and Behavioral Neurosciences and Pediatrics at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan. He is the Chief of Psychology and the Director of Psychology Training at Children’s Hospital of Michigan.

A frequent presenter of child, adolescent and adult ADHD around the region and the country, Dr. Robin is the Professional Advisor for the Eastern Oakland County chapter of Children and Adults with Attention Deficit Disorder (CHADD). In 2002 he was inducted into the CHADD Hall of Fame for his lifetime contributions to the field of AD/HD and in 2007 became a Fellow of the American Psychological Association.
