Megan Branstetter, LMSW
Megan E. Branstetter, LMSW is owner of Dennis, Moye, Branstetter & Associates. She is a licensed clinical social worker. She earned her Bachelor’s degree in Social Work at Eastern Michigan University and her Master’s in Social Work from the University of Michigan with a major and concentration in interpersonal practice with children and youth.
Megan is dedicated to working with children, adolescents, young adults and their families. Her passion and clinical focus has been working with children and youth who have experienced trauma, grief and loss, depression and anxiety. In her career she has served children, youth, young adults and their families working in area non-profits.
She is trained in Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. In addition to TF-CBT she is also practiced in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy. In her work she is creative and person centered. Megan believes that when working with children and youth, effective engagement is critical; therefore her work includes play therapy, game play and hands on activities to help children express their feelings, identify healthy coping strategies and process traumatic experiences. Megan also provides support and education to parents to help meet their children's needs.
Megan has presented on working with child survivors of sexual abuse at the Michigan Coalition to End Domestic and Sexual Violence Annual Conference. She has also presented on creative individual and group therapy with children and adolescents at Michigan’s National Association of Social Worker’s Annual Conference.
